Ed Gorey is awesome...to many great books out there to list but I am so very fond of the
Ghastly Crumb Tines. Have you read his naughty book? Once upon a Sofa? hehe

I love Gorey, a lot of my art is inspired by him. I used to have a poster of the Gashlycrumb Tinies on my wall until I really started thinking about it and it made me depressed, so I took it down, but I still love his work and have four anthologies of his books. My absolute favorite is "The Blue Aspic" about an obsessive opera fan who murders all of his favorite soprano's rivals and then, after losing everything, comes after her. It's grim.

    I'm in.

My Edwardian ideal of lurking doom, Gorey is.

"The Gashlycrumb Tinies"' little "Neville" ("who died of ennui") is a particular favorite, and I'll confess to an abiding delight in the Mystery credits (pity they're no longer...)

I have a lunch box with his Gastlycrum Tinies on it.
Eventhough I am Dead it is always warm inside my bed.
