I am
MOST excited about having my
dear friend Magickbean's permission to post her words of
stunning visual imagery..this girl's work is
truly remarkable, it just
comes alive as you read it--see for yourselves!!
Autumn’s Approach.
How sweet; the bitterness, the icy tickle
Carried upon the breeze,
The frowning brow of wilting wood
And the browning ferns of trees.
Through heavy mists I see him,
Through the steady growing gloom,
The Darkness feels so cold –
This Autumn’s in full bloom.
I stand still ‘gainst these thrilling chills,
Amidst the leaves too light to land,
And as I watch him creeping close,
I catch a glimpse of bony hands.
He crawls along the river shivering slight,
He approaches as the moon circles low,
His smooth orange head reflects the light,
A sight as pure as Autumn’s glow.
The Pumpkin Man has found me
And I’m lying on the leafy floor,
I’m thankful that I caught a glimpse of him,
For I will see no more.

"The Leaves"
This dark Autumn evening
Holds foreboding allure,
As I watch windswept debris
Encroach on my door.
The leaves want to play -
But they're already dead,
And the plans that they made
Remain in their heads.
I look down to them, mercy,
From my hole in the ground,
Where I long to be rescued
Yet I fear to be found.
The leaves want to play -
But they're already dead.
The wind cannot save them,
It taunts them instead.
My heart bleeds for them
So alike me, these things:
The puppets of darkness
With invisible strings.
The leaves want to play -
But now they have fled.
Earth has no time for
The ghosts of the dead.

(Did you ever come up with the music to go with this one, Magickbean?...)
Poltergeists:
Where did they go? Where did they go?
Why are things falling down from here?
Why am I shaking – breaking
When there’s nothing I’ve to fear?
They’re coming now,
They’re creeping out,
They’re laughing now,
I hear them shout,
And cry
And scream
And moan
In dreams
That haunt the waking light…
What is that sound? What is that sound?
What is that strange smell flooding in?
From where did those black marks appear
The footsteps on my ceiling?
They’re coming now,
They’re creeping in,
They’re laughing now,
They know my sin,
My past
My tears
My pains
And fears
I kept locked well within…
Why are they here? Why are they here?
What if these poltergeists mean harm?
Why does the darkness pull around me
And the shadows claw my arms?
They’re gaining now,
They’ve come for me,
They’re cackling now,
They’ve come to see
My soul
My death
My life
My breath
And take it all from me.
They’re coming now; they’ve come for me…
They’re gaining now; now I can see…
They’re coming now.

The Vampire Chylde:
In a graveyard late on Hallow's Eve
A vampire prince was lifted high,
The moon sheathed by a clouded sleeve
Was captured in the chylde's eyes.
The orb did dance in glowing rings
As they felt the full moon's perfect kiss,
And his mother coiled him to her breast
And to his lips she pressed her wrist.
"My chylde you are a prince of stars,
A beauty born from darkest night,
You feed on love but not on life
Your evil is your only light.
Drink this blood and feel your strength
For you need never take one breath,
Your birth may be your only curse
For this, my chylde, will be your death."

The Damned
Your pale white flesh, soft against my lips
As if from stone is set;
You lie so still.
Your glassy eyes stare into my own,
Your face a mask of grace
Untouched by time.
My hand trails across your icy brow,
Warmth lost in emptiness;
Your skin like milk
You lie within a bed of satin,
Wood surrounds your body;
You clasp a rose
With deadened flesh hanging on your bones,
You sleep without a breath;
I cry for you
Your lips that I once kissed have turned blue,
Deprived of blood you rest;
Infinite death
And now I hold your limp, lifeless corpse..
Taste of death – your decay
Hangs on my lips.
Now your sweetened breath is of angels
Treading in the shadows
I once had been.
Dreaming visions stalk me through the night;
Driven into exile
By your spectre.
The heavy hull of guilt upon me,
I am wrenched to your soul;
I am the damned
Soon, alongside your grave, my sweetest,
In a bed of satin,
I shall lie too.

I Will Remember You
I will remember you
As I gaze out over the pumpkin patch,
The sea of tangerine bowls
Gleaming with dew at dawn.
I will remember you
As I hang the wreath of roses,
The wooden witch and the signs
That you chose when we were one.
I will remember you
As the children head out for school,
Dressed up as The Munsters;
The costumes that you helped sew.
I will remember you
As I sit alone in cold sunlight,
My tears swirl with the coffee
In my Halloween mug, from you.
I will remember you
With the onset of the darkness,
The moon shrouded in gold
Holds not a candle to your face.
I will remember you
As I dutifully hand out the sweets
To the Trick or Treaters, asking
“Where is the Frankenstein man?”
And I will remember you
As I tuck the children in bed,
In the patchwork pumpkin blanket
“I miss daddy,” they whisper.
I miss you too.

Blood
Blood, so sweet
Like copper angels
Flooding hunger
Saving thirsts
My mouth opens
My teeth tingle
My eyes burn
Breathing fast
Skin pales:
White as ghost,
Flesh like ice,
Blood like fire
Come to me…
Grab your clothing
Pull you close
Feel my breath
Hot like coal,
Smouldering scent,
Bittersweet death
Feel my life within you
Kiss your neck
This won’t hurt…
Bare my teeth,
See your eyes
Staring wildly,
As I bite
Tears of blood
Raining on you now
Poor little thing.
Bleeding still.
Your life within ME now…
I can feel it
Course my veins:
Ah this beauty
That which cures my thirst,
That kills my pains
But makes you weep.
You do not know
The way I burn,
Fires leap within my heart.
Chokes me half to death
When you’re not there
To
save me
To
bleed for me
To
die for me
To
become me
...........
WOW.........I mean......
