    "The Warning"

Sitting at home alone on a Friday night watching House Of 1000 Corpses may not be everyone's idea of a good time, but to Evan this was a good night. It was good because his parents weren't bugging the **** out of him to do chores, and he had just got dumped by his ex-girlfriend Brittany a few days ago. He usually spent his nights talking to her late at night on the phone, but he was alone tonight enjoying his favorite type of movie. Sure Evan had friends, his best buddy Jeremy was staying at his aunt's house for the weekend. Some kind of family reunion **** that Evan had no desire to go to either. You know what happens when the world finds out your all alone though, don't ya? It likes to mess with you.

'THUD!' A loud sound was heard under Evan's feet. He sat straight up in his chair and turned the volume to the TV down. It sounded like something big fell off a shelf in the basement. Evan did what just about everyone did when they heard a strange noise, ignored it and went back to watching his movie. He remembered what the dads in all the movies always said about strange noises, "It's just the house settling."

It wasn't until he heard a violent shaking sound coming from the basement like a damn tornado was loose down there that Evan got the nerve to go take a look. Sure he was scared as hell, but he just couldn't take it any more. The second he opened the door to the basement all the noise stopped. He flipped the light switch on and cautiously made his way down the stairs. Sitting on the floor in front of an old dusty bookcase was an open dictionary. That's what must have made the noise, but Evan was feeling even more worried than before. The dictionary didn't worry him a bit, but there was a piece of paper oddly sticking out of it as a bookmark that looked too suspicious to be just a weird coincidence. Maybe he watched too many horror movies and this was just a blank piece of paper, but he decided to give it a read anyway. His heart went cold when he read the mysterious note addressed to him, it was a warning telling him he had to act now or people were going to die.

Here is exactly what the note said: "Evan, ......"

What should happen next? What did that note say?

Evan...please you must leave...leave now before...before it comsumes you...go far away...isolated...it lives inside...waiting...growing...leave before it kills again...

don't really know where that's going, but it sounds kinda interesting.
...somewhere in the north-woods darkness, a creature walks upright.
And the best advice you may ever get is never to go out…at night.

    New addition to The Warning.

You can view it and post what you want to happen next by going to my website or you can read the beginning of the story right here:

The next part of the story was submitted by Havik (if you don't know who he is check the Mr. Halloween message board, he's all over it!)

Here is exactly what the note said:
"Evan, I have a game proposition for you. I know how you love horror movies. How you find people being brutally murdered entertaining. Well, I have chosen you to take part in a horror story of my own. I've had enough experience to know you’re wondering who wrote this and thinking to yourself that it is some kind of prank. I assure you that this is real. And would like you to know that you have been chosen at random. This is not an act revenge. In fact we have yet to meet.

I'll explain to you what's going on because I know you’re clueless. I too used to sit at home late at night and watch horror movies. I found death as interesting as you do. But the movies quickly lost their effect on me. Each time I watched one I realized only more that it was fake. I grew tired of the pseudo-murders and then began searching for videos of actual killings. These interested me and I soon became obsessed. Finally I wanted the experience up close so I picked my first victim, a homeless woman. It was such a thrill that I decided to continue. I honed my skills for a while afterward. I choose people who no one noticed to insure I it would not raise an alarm among the police. I'm sure you agree nothing's more pesky than a bitch in blue with a badge. But eventually the thrill was dulled. So I started going into houses. Shortly after I became bored again. So now I've decided to get my victims involved. And here you are. Involved in my obsession.

Now that you have an understanding of what I do, I must now inform you that I've watched you for a while and have picked out targets. People you know. Brittany, and Jeremy. Yes, I know exactly where both of them currently are. You have 24 hours to try and save them. Equip yourself with what ever you can. Here's the fun part. Who will I go after first?

You have a few choices. Pick a location to stay at and wait until I arrive, or maybe try and save them both. Or you could stay at home and not do anything. And your last logical option would be to flee to another location. Because after I finish with your friends you're the target. Make your choice.

I know you still probably don't believe this. So to make it clear to you that this is indeed real. Go check your parents room."

There was no signature. A cold chill worked its way up Evans spine. He noticed that his basement was a complete mess. He made a decision to check on his parents like the note suggested.

The next part of the story was submitted by The Wikkid One (He earns the name, check this out!)

As he made his way cautiously up the stairs, knees shaking and a death grip on the warning note, he tried to run through a list of people he knew to see if anyone would pull a prank like this on him, but couldn't come up with anyone with a sick enough sense of humor. He got to the top of the stairs and carefully peered down the hallway at his parent’s room. Something was definitely going on, the door stood cracked a bit, and his parents never left their door open when he was home alone.

He quickly ran down the hall and threw the door wide open, not needing to be cautious anymore; obviously the killer knew what he would do. What awaited him in the bedroom was beyond his worse imagination. The blood was the first thing he noticed, it was hard not to because the bedroom was literally painted with it. His mothers head had apparently been used as the paintbrush, it lay in the corner of the room with his moms beautiful blonde hair completely drenched in her own blood. Sticking out of her mouth was what appeared to be a severed *****, and her eyes hung down on cords just dangling on her cheeks. After seeing this much Evan's stomach gave a huge heave and everything he had ate that day, plus some extra it seemed, came flying out of his mouth and down his shirt and pants. He heaved until there wasn't possibly anything left in him, and then he heaved some more.

After a few deep breaths to steady himself, he wiped the tears and sweat and what vomit there still was clinging to his chin, then he took a look at the rest of the room. His father lay on his stomach on the blood soaked bed, his head twisted around so he appeared to be staring at Evan, both arms lay severed and were hanging on the wall, where his parents wedding pictures should have been. His fathers shoes were at the side of the bed, placed neatly, except his fathers severed feet were still inside of them. This was enough for Evan; he left the room and shut the bedroom door behind him, crying like he never had before. He thought briefly about what it always said on T.V. about messing with the scene of the crime, but in reality he knew that the cops couldn't do a damn thing for him or the people he cared about. If something was going to be done for him and his friends it was up to him to do it alone!

The cops may not be able to help Evan, but you can! Will all of Evan's friends die? Who is this mystery killer that likes to play games? The choice is yours. Go to my website and submit your part of the story!
