I am running a Victorian Age WOD Vampire game, and was wondering if anyone has any good ideas that I can throw at my players. One character is a Irish Tough(Thug) and the other is a Con-Artist Medium (Spiritulist). I have a main storyline, but would like some ideas for either a side mission or red herring type of story hook.

WOD, that's where the participants actually appear in person, is it, or is it On-Line?

If you're any kind of History buff, Victorian London is a gold mine. How's this sound-
Sweeney Todd, the Deamon Barber of Fleet Street prowled during the Victorian age. Well, maybe he didn't actually "prowl", he killed his victims right inside his arber shop.
Maybe a "Jack the Ripper" tie-in?
During Queen Vickie's reighn, 1837 to 1901 (I think), gonorreha and syphilis was rampant in London. Prostitution skyrocketed amoung the Great Unwashed.
Persons considered Criminally Insane were sent to Bethlehem Hospital, on the southern outskirts of the city, for "Rehabilitation". This included being chained to the floor (The origin of the term "Locked Down") and being forcibly restrained in an ice-water bath to "calm" more violent patients. That gave us the modern day phrase "Chill Out". Bethlehem is still standing and is better remembered in Cockney slang as "Bedlam".
If this game is to be played by people actually present, some Victorian Wall Posters would set the mood, along with some sconces on the wall. Try the Soundtrack of Steven Sondheim's "Sweeney Todd" for background music. I suggest that you read a little Dickens for more inspiration.
