This will be in a brochure put out by the Northern Illinois tourism people. The brochure covers Halloween Events in a ten county area from Haunted Houses and Hayrides to Pumpkin Patches and Parades.
The Strange House, the Rumors, the Fears,
Community apprehension hung heavy,
Un-dimmed by the years,
Raven's Grin Inn is that place
Supernaturally altering Time and Space
Allow your curiosity to replace the dread,
but "Terror" awaits at the "Bad Dream Bed"!
Uncommon experiences will fill your night
BE HAPPY!
...for there is NO CURE
for the Raven's Grinning BITE!

Well, the busy season is sort of upon me, already.
Plenty to do all day long around here from picking up cigette butts in the parking lot to trying to pick up my own butt when it starts dragging from everything else I do here. Work all day, do tours all night.
I have a real good start on building Mr. Tuxedo (spookhouse cat) his own hearse so he will have the opportunity for a social life via the dating scene, maybe "Barbie" would go out with him?
It all began because of him(Tuxedo) we were buying some cat dishes and the one plastic double-dish looked like the dual, stacked headlights of about a 1967 Cadillac, so I started building from the "headlights" back, using sheet metal and alot of hand tools, pop-rivets and patience, this also may be my Mayfest art exhibit, last year I built Mr. Tuxedo his own tank )I guess I knew where our foreign policy was headed?)
The tank also features Mr. Tuxedo sticking up out of the turret wearing his small suit of armour, complete with steel tail-wrap so his tail can stick out safely from the turret.
This "tank" must weigh at least 400 pounds (real steel), the hysterical thing to me was last Mayfest when people would ask me how I got this tank in the building for the exhibit, it wouldn't fit through a door and it is sort of heavy too!
(Maybe it breaks down into pieces for transporting....hhhmmm?? Think so?)hahahah ! excuse the evil-laugh!

Welcome weary travelers, you have found the dark Inn
Some things must be said and heard before we begin
Before we bed you down and see to your horses
You must be warned about how the past has run it's courses
Before you retire, you should know what may await you here
Indeed, some may find more than a "full-plate" here
Tales of contentious anger, strife, longing and even mortal sin
Remembered by these ancient walls of what has passed therein
For some, these walls are haunted
You may not believe one word that I say
But the walls still whisper
Hoping bothersome moonlight will go away!
The spirits here seem to prefer the dark, this is when they move
I am not selling anything, it's left for others to prove
Does the ancient dolomite wine cellar rock
Contain supernatural information that only some can unlock?
A Lady in a white dress with long , dark hair
Is said to be waiting for you down there
Many have seen her doing her little tricks
Appearing, disappearing, special effects, it's not my "fix"!
There may be important news, she's moving within the house
Inhabiting new places, new fearful sensations to douse
It's not a movie, it's not a dream, it's not baloney sliced for you
It's voices and visions trapped from the past, so whatever you do
Stay alert for this opening, don't get sucked into their realm
Be your own strong Captain, stay your course mind your helm
Become not trapped here, what a sad tale that would be
Take a look, give a listen, but remember sorry me
For I cannot now leave.
