With the weather changing I thought I'd try my hand at a folk tale about Winter and it's perils.
The Ice Queen

Gather round and heed my story
Of an Icy Queen in all her glory

Far to the North are distant lands
Where no sun shines and no tree stands
Shrouded there in mist and fog
Stands the Keep of ice not log
There the Ice Queen does reside
Her silent servants at her side

Now when the clouds have a silvery glow
Then off to home you best go
For with the night the wind will blow
And the land well covered in snow
And if you listen you will hear
That Queen of ice as she draws near
Seeking those who foolishly roam
When they were best to stay at home

Now lying frozen in the snow
She gathers them as she goes
To her Keep they are taken
Forever more their souls forsaken
