Halloween Poem –
08-18-2011,03:26 PM
I recently read a book on haunted lighthouses and came up with this poem, I hope you like it.
The rythme of the light is so reassuring
The romance of the Keeper is so alluring
But look closer and you'll have cause to fear
For the horrific act that happened here
Peacefully they slept in each others arms
There was no warning no alarms
Silently he stood looking down at the bed
Raising the axe he aimed for the head
She screamed only once then she too was dead
He wrapped them both in sheets from the bed
To the edge of the cliff he dragged them both
Then kicked them over with a Hell bound oath
The blood of the lovers still stains the floor
And every night he comes through the door
Damned for eternity to relive the act
This is no ghost story it is a fact
