    has anyone ever done this?

tbh I dont really know what Im trying to explain so please bare with me.

I have created a fictional character who is the host for the party nights I try to put on every year.

I have a breif outline of who he is, where he came from etc and an outline of a possible story he would be involved in.
I like to think of myself as creative, I think a lot and come up with ideas, and this characters story is bursting to get out.
But what do I do with it?
make a movie, write a book.
I really dont know any output this kind of creation could have,

Ideally, it could be the background story for creating a haunt, but Im not in a position to build one and they dont really happen here where I live.

Its just a bit frustrating that these ideas are stuck in my head with nowhere to go.

    any suggestions?

Perhaps try journaling as these characters. You could make a very cool book of them, especially if you have the means to costume and photograph yourself as these characters.

Every year I take my costume a bit too far and work with characters to match them complete with background stories. I also sometimes do this (although in less detail) for outfits I walk runway in.

been chatting to the wife. I think my character creation, history and background could provide the basis for a haunt. It could give the introduction to the reason you're traveling through the maze, and provide the twists and turns in a convincing way. and hopefully provide the outcome and resolution.

only problem is, I don't have know how or finance to start a haunt.

hey ho, maybe another day then lol.

Graveyard Queen, I do like your suggestion of writing a journal/bios of the character, I'm sure it could be a building block and even a usefull way of getting my idea over to others who may be able to use the concept to develop the character.

maybe trying to find an artist who could come up with some visuals.

I think you could definately work your character into a short story or a full length novel. If its a short you could have several copies circulating in line before your haunt to give everyone who goes through some background.

Flesh out your cherectors. Make up a journal entry for each cherector. How does he/she dress, favorate color, opinions, beliefs, habits, what they like to eat, allergies, disabilities, Achilles heel, everything you can think of about each cherector, what motivates them.

Then think of how you want the story. use 3/5 cards to map out your chapter/plots. How do you want your story to go. Each card can be a chapter. map it out so you can move ideas around until it all fits together like one glorious puzzel. Then you start writing each chapter using your cards as your inspiration. Never loose site of the big picture that way.

You could also create an anthology surrounding your character, each short story about something different but sharing some common themes or settings. Make it a series if you want.
