I've been watching some of these werewolf movies recently, and it's really getting annoying to me how the werewolves are either hidden in the dark as in what they are doing, or they barely show them, and than it's daytime already. I want to see a werewolf movie to see the werewolf movie a bunch of the time. Give me at least 15% werewolf in the movie instead of a minute here, and a minute there. It's just annoying to me.

I have watched the Beast Must Die, Wolf, Curse of the Werewolf, and An American Werewolf in London. An American Werewolf in London to me is the best of these, but in that movie they do, do a lot of flashbacks, and again the wolf hides in that movie too. When the werewolf is tracking down the subway guy, you never see him actually get the subway guy. Instead after that, he wakes up in a zoo.

And for the Wolfman movie newer movie that came out last year I think; I watched that and I was really bored at the beginning of that movie, but the ending was much better, but still half the movie stunk in my opinion.

For werewolves not hidden in the dark, I like the Underworld movies, but that movie isn't so much about the transformation of a person becoming a werewolf. It's more about vampires against werewolves type of thing. And the only thing that got me started in those movies is Kate Beckinsale.
"Dollar Tree - The High Price to Pay for $1 Prices" China stuff, taking out other stores, around every corner - 136 in 100 miles, poor wages for employees. - I only say this because people say the same stuff about Wal-Mart, but than they go to Dollar Tree.

Try Dog Soldiers. It starts a bit slow and takes a while to get to the werewolf part but the costumes look amazing and you can see them in full light in a more than a few instances.
Cursed may be enjoyable for you as well. Maybe even Van Helsing, although I'm not a huge fan of the movie itself or the look of the werewolves.

A lot of the darkness and shadow play is to hide a lack of costume or poor quality in the costume/makeup. It allows the viewer to suspend their disbelief and use their imagination to create the rest of the monster. It also allows for some laziness in design and budget cutting. it's also part of the character, in which a werewolf is a dark and evil beast therefore lives in the night. Granted that's another half-excuse as well as a full moon is awfully bright.
...somewhere in the north-woods darkness, a creature walks upright.
And the best advice you may ever get is never to go out…at night.

I just saw a movie on Nickledeon that I think was a good person into a wolf transformation type of movie that thats called A Boy that Cried Werewolf. And for a Nick movie, it had some fighting, and the werewolves to me looked very good.

Before I watched that Alive and the Chipmunks meet the Wolfman, but I didn't really like that movie either because it dealt a lot with the play Dr Jekyl and Mr. Hyde than the werewolves.

The original The Wolfman I just watched though was pretty good. I tell you that Wolf movie free on demand got me into looking for something better because that movie was kind of boring. And Jack Nicholoson in that movie is such a monotone guy that makes me want to fall asleep.

I agree with Dogman, Dog soldiers is one of my fave Werewolf movies. I'm waiting for the sequel Dog Soldiers: Fresh Meat to come out. It's been in production for ages!

I just watched another British one last night called 13hrs, total pile of crap.. It had hairless werewolves which you hardly see. At the end the female character was bald and you could see the bald cap they used..lol Awful script too and characters you want to die because they're so annoying.

I third Dog Soldiers. IMHO this is the best pure Werewolf movie ever made. Granted An American Werewolf in London provided terrific atmosphere but Dog Soldiers provides atmosphere, gore, brutality and best of all plenty of Werewolves.

Here is a list of some additional Werewolf movies.
    The Howling
    Brotherhood of the Wolf
    Wolfen
    Gingersnaps
    Silver Bullet
