If you seen the Collector movie, could you please tell me why you thought it was a good movie? On imdb, they all like it's the greatest cult movie to mankind, and I just want to understand why people think it was such a great movie. Can anyone tell more of why the collector is doing the stuff he's doing, or can at least figure it out.
"Dollar Tree - The High Price to Pay for $1 Prices" China stuff, taking out other stores, around every corner - 136 in 100 miles, poor wages for employees. - I only say this because people say the same stuff about Wal-Mart, but than they go to Dollar Tree.

I didn't find it great at all, I'm bored with the torture porn rubbish. I don't find it thrilling or entertaining. I also think the gore is too realistic, I prefer older movies, ok so they also had gore scenes but you always know it's very fake. Gimme a good old monster or supernatural movie any day.

I agree, the latest in torture porn like Saw, Hostel, etc. just doesn't interest me. Not anymore.

I do find the FX interesting to a degree, but if there's no story other than "let's see how many ways we can kill" then it gets old & boring. Much like the classic 80s monsters got boring once it was about how many ways & victims Jason could have, it was lame.

I was actually angry at the end of Saw & refuse to watch any of the billion sequels it's spawned. I mean, come on, the dude was LYING RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF YOU!! HOW COULD YOU NOT SEE HIM BREATHING!! NOT TO MENTION THE BILLION OTHER PLOT HOLES YOU COULD DRIVE A MACK TRUCK THROUGH!!! AAAUUUGGHHH1!!!!

SEE!! It STILL makes me angry!LOL!!

Anyhoo, I have nothing to add to your Collector issue as I haven't seen it & probably won't. Sorry.

I would not call it the greatest movie of all time, but it is one of my favorites. I think why I like it so much is because the killer is more original and very interesting. His whole look he has going is generally scary to me.
