Hi,
Every year we get together with friends and watch a few scary movies on all hallows eve.
It's always a tough choice to decide what to watch as we have seen a load of the good stuff, and generally, if we haven't already seen it, it probably isn't very good!
I have been using various sites (this UK site was pretty good - http://lovehorror.co.uk/top-10-horror-movies)
Just wanted to get any suggestions from you guys for any hidden gems that we could see!
Any suggestions considered!![]()

We usually do a theme night such as:
Classic Monster Movies
70's bloodbaths
80's Movie Night: Gremlins, Goonies, Child's play, Nightmare on Elm street, Halloween, Friday the 13th
This year's new releases
Vampires
Zombies
Ghosts
Serial Killers
Werewolves etc.Darkness has a hunger that's insatiable
And lightness has a call that's hard to hear- E.A. Saliers

Excellent, do you mean at Halloween, or do you just regularly run these theme nights for fun?
So, what would be your top picks for each genre. I'm thinking of buying Laid to Rest this year as it's supposed to be a good slasher and kind of dipped under the radar a bit.
I do love the old stuff though. Would love to find a good onld 80's horror movie that I haven't seen...

I myself enjoy the old Universal Monster classics on Halloween, because thats what was shown on TV when I was a kid. Halloween is all about keeping your childhood alive. So it would be watching the movies you did when you were a kid. That is how you stay young in mind and spirit.

I like the theme idea.
Maybe add a theme of True Life Horror:
Like "Helter Skelter"
or those films where they go into old sanitariums and investigate hauntings.
