I think a series, like the ones on HBO or Showtime, based on the era around the 30s and 40s when the Universal Monsters were popular would be awesome! I recently watched the documentarary "Universal Horror" (which is linked on my site halloweentv.tk) and it made me think about what it must have been like to live in that era. When the monsters ruled the cinema! There are names that are synonimous with horror, like Legosi, Cheney, and Karloff. And of course a few others, but those are the big ones.

Anyway they would all be characters in the show, as well as some of the bigwigs at Universal. What I think would be key though is a character of fan of the movies. In the documenetary it mentioned the son of the guy in charge of Universal being a fan of all things monsters. I think he would be a good character to focus on for the fan aspect. So all the horror fans can identify with him in love of monsters. PLus he'll get to meet the actual stars which would be cool too.

The reason I say it should be on HBO is cuz first of all it wouldn't need like 80 seasons, with 26 episodes. I think that formula worked all right in the past with sit coms, but with the quality of TV today, I think shorter seasons and lesser seasons works better. No need to drag something out so long till its lost its originality. haha anyway sorry for that little side rant. But yeah a few short quality seasons and I think it could be an awesome show!

I actually have aspirations of becoming a writer for a TV series. But like a staff writer, IDK if I am ambitious enough to be a series creator, but if I did get the ambition and could do the proper research I'd try to get this show on the screen! But I hope someone better makes it first so I can watch and enjoy it XD

Just seeing the day to day of people in the era, and seeing how the movies were made with recreations of the sets and showing them filming memorable scenes, and how the stars acted in normal life, I think would be pretty awesome. And since it spanned over 30 years, they could of course spend a season or two in one era the move to the next. It'd be interesting to see up to the Abbot and Costello years too! I know I'd watch it! Would you?

I like that idea. I have always enjoyed watching their flims even though I have not seen them all. I hope to be able to catch them all and say "YES I WATCHED THAT!" But to do series would be very trick, I would think. But it could work.

So does no one else think this would be a good idea for a show? :/ or does anyone got any ideas that would make it seem like a better show?
