I'm hoping someone can help name a very macabre historical character I saw about on a History Channel International program about vampires or something. The person was a woman, a nobelwoman, in Central Europe I think, who after her husband died, went more than a little nuts. She became obsessed with her youth and beauty, and was convinced that sne could preserve her youth and beauty by torturing and killing peasant servant girls and bathing in their blood. (Yeah, ick, a real sicko.) She and her co-conspirators were eventually caught, her conspirators were executed and she was imprisoned in solitary confinement for life (since she was noble). Anyone know her name, or the name of the HCI program that was talking about Vlad Dracula, this woman, and the like?
Any help gratefully appreciated! Thanks!
