I got to meet her maybe 6 years ago at Transworld. You could sit on her couch from her tv show and get your picture made with her. She was so kind and hysterical. Even though there were hundreds of people in line she took the time to talk with everybody. Her costume is so tight it has to be uncomfortable but she still sat for hours meeting all her fans.

some new cable channel called THIS! it seems that most Fox network affiliates will broadcast, but it features shows from many networks including Syfy, Fox, NBC, and ABC, as well as movies sponsered by FLIX. THIS, will also be in HD for many digital cable subscriptions.
You can find out more here: http://www.thistv.com/station-selector No news has been posted on the new Elvira show yet.

I saw a hilarious moment on one of her shows back in the day. She sat down on her famous couch and the thing went straight over backwards with her on it. It pulled down the cloth backdrop as well. She got up laughing her head off. The show went to a commercial while they got everything back in place, but you could still hear the laughter off-stage when she came back on.
So glad she's coming back - she's one of a kind!I...have many names...

Sadly, it may well be beyond my reach. I checked the channel locater, and there are two separate sources. I live in N.W. PA (Erie to be exact, just like jdubya) Even so, our Time Warner is actually part of the N.E. Ohio franchise. We do get WUAB a local Cleveland channel.
Here is the rub, there is also a listing for Time Warner Cable, channel 699, which part of their HD Digital Cable Network. I remember a similar circumstance where WUAB was airing a syndicated reed of The Simpsons. But a local Erie station wanted to run the same feed at the same time. The local station asked, and was granted the ability to run the reed, and the WUAB channel was 'blocked'.
I'm afraid that Time Warner NEO (Northeast Ohio) will decide to similarly 'block' WUAB once again in favor of potentially enticing its customers to upgrade to digital cable to view any This! programming.
I am keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed on this one...
I'm at that awkward stage in life... Somewhere between 'Annoying Fanboy' ...and 'Dirty Old Man'...

I never got to watch her when I was young. I'm not sure if it was before my time or I just never thought to look for her show.
I was kinda hoping that the stuff she showed would be new and in HD but it's old and in SD. Not that it's bad but I'm not that into old black and white stuff.
