Colins going to be playing Jerry Dandrige in the remake. He wouldn't have been my first choice for the role.

I heard it will come out in theaters next year or two years later... I think I'll go see it when it comes out, but I hope it's not going to be same characters, same storyline. :?

This trend of Hollywood rebooting so many established horror franchises frustrates me, both as a fan and as a creator. It makes me wonder if pursuing a career in horror writing is really worth it because both big-name fiction publishers and Hollywood seem to have the identical mindset nowadays. They don't want to try new concepts or take chances with new talent.

Sorry if I went on a bit of a tangent there, but I'm just really tired of remakes...and rejection forms.

I will say this, though. They will find a way to regurgitate the line, "Oh, you're so cool, Brewster!" I'd bet money on it.

I agree with you, it seems Hollywood has run out of original ideas. There's so many remakes on the horizon too.
