Thread: The Crazies: What did you think?

I just saw this movie last week and thought it was decent over all, but the movie was focused more on the military and how they were trying to stop it from spreading. Overall I enjoyed it but I believe it was leaving a lot of things out. Especially when it ended, it showed them walking into the next town where the infection was spreading at. I've come to think that it traveled to that city and it's possible of leading to other towns as well. Which leaves me to believe that another sequel will come out. It slightly reminds me of 28 days later or cabin fever but things happen a lot differently.

Generally a lot of the things I've been watching involving infected people has to do with the water or some other type of infection. I believe that something like this can happen, but I still wanted more explained into the story. They always tend to leave out the best ideas out cause it takes away from the violence and most of the time they want the movie moving along. I enjoy suspense and thrillers, most horror movie these days all go by gore and torture. Everyone seems to enjoy that more than the scenes that make people jump.

I guess I'd like to hear what type of movies scare you? What are you looking for when you watch a Horror movie? If you had to change The Crazies or any other movie, how would you change it?

Just thought this would be interesting to discuss.

I've not seen this yet. Nice to see a review on it as the previews don't look anything special.
