Since I did the remake thread, I thought hey, why not a sequel thread too!!

    Again UHM is the source

From the Candyman 4 page, that's a no-go it seems! I think it's been called off. Same for Dog Soldiers:Fresh Meat! Shame!

I'm very much looking forward to the following:
    Ghostbusters III
    Gremlins 3
Lost Boys; The Thirst (yes, the second wasn't great, but I don't think it was awful beyond belief...maybe due to the fact that I like Corey Feldman, who is back for this one!)
    Paranormal Activity 2
Scream 4 (I'm a big Scream fan, but there was so much emphasis in Scream 3 about the trilogy rules, I'm a little confused!)
Silent Hill 2(I'm actually doing the Silent Hill nurse costume this Halloween, so I hope this isn't out till next year!)
    The Strangers 2
    [Rec] 3

    Not looking forward to:
Blair Witch 3. I really enjoyed the first, but it should have stopped there! The second was terrible.
Twilight Eclipse. I didn't buy in to the whole 'Twilight' obsession, so I haven't even seen the first! Not that fussed either.
Saw VII. Come on, it's just boring now! I think the first was great, then they went downhill, but could have coped with just a trilogy!

Ghostbusters, Gremlins, and Silent Hill sequels could be interesting. I don't know about the others, though, especially another Scream movie, and the number of Saw films is flat-out insane.

Horror sequels are known for being bad, but as long as there is a buck to be made, there will be sequels.

Paranormal Activity 2 - Why, why, why, why, why, why?
    Blair Witch 3 - WHY????

GAH!! Just because it does well doesn't mean it needs a sequel. Both of those films ended quite finally with the first film. No reason for a second, and certainly no reason for a third!
...somewhere in the north-woods darkness, a creature walks upright.
And the best advice you may ever get is never to go out…at night.
