    Wolf Man

Rated R for bloody horror violence and gore. 102 min.

Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt

Upon his return to his ancestral homeland, an American man (Del Toro) is bitten, and subsequently cursed by, a werewolf.

I've been looking forward to this film for a long time. Just the first sneak peak photos of the film got me excited. Then as time when by I kept hearing of updates on it & anticipation grew. Prior to watching the new film, watched the 1941 version. Then I could compare for myself between the two films. While the stories & characters are the same, subtle changes were made to the new film. The tone was much darker & sinister. Were-wolf attacks are much quicker & the startle scares really get ya unexpectally. Thought Benicio Del Toro, looked very much like Lon Chaney Jr. did as Larry Talbot in the 1941 version. (prior to changing into the creature) Definately recommend this film to any diehard horror fan!

Will be anxiously awaiting it's release to purchase it on dvd.

This movie is great. Worth the $10.00 bucks to see it. Getting it as soon as it comes to blue ray. It's an edge on your seat kind of movie. Very awesome.

Not for the faint of heart. But it is awesome.

GO SEE IT. ( five or six times it's that cool>

I just saw the movie yesterday and was really impressed. I didn't think it would be that great, but I was wrong. I'll be pre-ordering it as soon as it's available.

I loved this movie. It took elements for the 1941 Wolfman with Lon Cheney Jr and aspects found in the Hammer film the Curse of the WereWolf. Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins were awesome. The make up stayed true to the classic. a little CGI was used but did not distract from the preformence of the actors. It is fast paced and has a errie Victorian feel to it. It takes place in the Scottish Moors complete with huge ancestrial mansion and fog and mists. I loved this movie and encourage my fellow haunters to see it. I think I will see it more than once in the theater.

Personally I was really wanting to like this movie but believe it fell short. The presentation of the film was fantastic but believed the story dragged a little IMO, but what really bothered me (I really have no explanation why, it just did) was the fact that Benecio Deltoro did not have an English accent. I realize the story was written around that fact but I found it distracting for some reason (maybe a time period piece filmed in England should have all English accents).

I will give it a 5.5/10. The only reason I am giving it a 5.5 is the fact the Blu-ray presentation was phenomenal. If you have the gear this film will give it a workout.

film wise I will give it a 4.5/10

The original is my all time favorite Horror Movie, so I went to this on openingnight with some trepidation, ready to be disappointed. I wasn't. We've already pre-ordered the DVD.

I just got the DVD and loved rewatching the Wolf-Man. There is an unrated directors cut and the theatrical version on the disk. I really enjoyed this film and recommend it.
