...at the Mall of America. A friend of mine won tickets to get into a early screening, and I have to say that I wasn't disappointed...!!
Without giving anything away, this is a whole diffrent flick then the '41 version. The only thing that this movie has in common with the Lon Chaney version is the bare bones premise of the original storyline -
and even that gets "tweaked" here and there. And to put people's minds at ease: this is NOT Van Helsing -
This movie keeps the feel and tone of a classic Universal movie very well...!! I swear there were times when Benicio Del Toro was channeling Lon Chaney Jr. - but, this isn't one for the kiddies...!! When this Wolf Man is on the prowl things get nasty...!! You can tell Rick Baker did the effects, the transformation from man to wolf has a very 'American Werewolf in London' feel to it, and the cgi isn't bad at all...
    It's actually quite believable.
I do have one or two "beefs" with this retelling - but nothing to make me write off the entire experience...

I'm looking forward to seeing this again on saturday at the Forest Lake 5 theater, where it'll be shown on a double bill with the 1941 Wolf Man...!!
I learned that every man needs a woman,
    who understands without question,
when he wakes up in the night...
    screaming

Good to hear. When I first saw that the remake was coming out I was skeptical but the previews looked promising and hearing reports like yours will make me go see it.

I am really looking forward to this flick. Wish some place around here was running a double-feature with the 1941 version, that would be really cool!

Going to see this with the Mrs. for Valentine's Day. LOL

Go to aintitcool.com and search up the set/trailer visit with Rick Baker. They talk about one of his efx crew building candied/edible body parts for the actors.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

It's awesome. This is a movie that will redifne remake comebacks. Allthough it was not exactley the same, the setting, acting and dialouge was great. I'm going again tomarrow.

Just awesome. A little gorey but just awesome.
halloween is a super cool holiday.
