They're remaking ..let the right one in, I thought the original was great and doesn't really need a remake.

I wonder how screwed up they will americanise it. Teens fill of ANGS, listening to ipods and playing XBox even if the story is set in the early 80s... I see Tom Cruise playing the lead part of the boy with Roseanne Bar playing the vampire girl. Full of CGS everywhere. Adding new characters like a alcholic father to the boy who mental abbused him, a talking Zebra, a new nemisis black guetto girlfriend at school so the vampire girl and ghetto girl can have a dance off. I see a big musical finish at the end... so sad...

Personally I am looking forward to the Wolfman remake for several reasons. First and foremost there has never been a good big budget rendition of a time period Wolfman piece outside of early adaptations, IMHO. Second this movie is going to have fantastic acting (at least it should) and third (finger crossed with the R rating) this Wolfman is going to be one bad ass beast ripping and tearing its way through the countryside.
Now back to the original title of the thread. First I will play the Devils Advocate: Let the Right One In was a very well done movie and probably should not be remade, however there have been two other recent foreign horror films which received the same Hollywood treatment, (Them became the Strangers and REC became Quarantine). IMHO both redeux 's were both decent and if Let the Right One In goes the same route I will not have an issue, but I do not believe that is going to be the case.
I have a strange and uneasy feeling that Hollywood is going to play the Twilight game with this film which would be a very bad idea. I certainly hope Reeves (director) and his team think very carefully before moving forward with a script.2011 Ultimate Spider, click below

rupertoooo , I totally agree with you on The Wolfman, it looks amazing. I'll will be hnoest, I don't even see it as a remake. I see it as a new movie on it's own.
I didn't know the Strangers was a remake (I didn't like it.. I am now curious to see "Them".. Is it very different, or the main characters are still freaking retarted and the movie is still missing an entire story consurning the killers and why they do this? (probebly not likely!)
Rec was wayy better than Quarantine (in my opinion) and I want to see REC 2 so bad. True, as a remake, it is very close to it, but missing something... just not the same aspect of REC.

I hate when a remake totally kills the goodness of the classic original
Eventhough I am Dead it is always warm inside my bed.

I saw Let the Right one in a few months ago and I thought it was a beautiful yet horror film and the relationship between the boy and the "girl" seemed so real. It is going to suck and Kristen Stewart or Dakota will be the girl and they will slap a Blonde wig and twilight it up. BOO to this.

i hope this remake is a little darker then the original. Who know's maybe it will turn out really good. The Ringu was a great movie but The Ring was 10 times better and it was an americanized remake.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

I am still disappointed over the new Wolfman movie that will be coming out soon. I thought it was to be in keeping with the classic Wolfman and was to be in blk and white.
