I honestly didn't find it frightening at all, I've been watching horror movies since childhood so maybe I'm immune to scares by now.

I too will wait until it comes out on disc. I have no interest in wasting $12 bucks on a movie since many are comparing it to the Blair Witch Project which was a total joke IMHO. But nonetheless I will check it out and hope for a surprise.

I think it just depends on what scares you.
Me? I work in horror, live in horror (we're talking life sized Jason, Leatherface, Myers along with hundresds of horror items 365 in my house) I watch at LEAST 1-3 Horror movies every day, and I will admit it took me 2 hours to calm down enough after seeing the movie to go to bed.

I'm just wondering...what was it that scared everyone who saw this movie? Was it the demon living in the attic or was it the fact she had been possessed by the demon. The footprints and the noises were scary(the getting drag out of bed scene not so much). I started to think how scary it would be to be possessed by the demon but then I realized something. I wouldn't know it. When you're possessed aren't you supposed to be in a suspended trance like state so the demon can take over? So you would never know it. I'm sure the time leading up to it would be pretty scary but once it happens you don't know it. The demon could go and kill your whole family, mutilate animals, drink blood... do whatever and you would never know. Unless of course the demon exorcised and then people told you what happened.

I was just curious about what exactly scared you about the movie.

Firstly there are no demons (superstition) and no possessions (crazy people) but as a fun exercise in fiction I would offer that it should be like when you take your little brother by the wrists and make him hit himself. You know everything that is happening but have no control over it... it's stronger than you.

lol my sons play that, until one of them get annoyed and it ends up as a fist fight. No wonder I'm always stressed 3 boys and a 35 year old Husband. I'm living in a testosterone world, not a barbie doll in sight!
