I suggest everyone list some lesser known movies which are good watches. I am tired of watching bad movies and would like to get some decent opinions. I will start the list off with my recommendations.

    1. Let the Right One In. 8/10 Very good Vampire flick
    2. Sams Lake. 6.5/10
    3. Night of the Creeps 7/10 (Finally being re-released 10/27)
    4. Them 7/10 (French version of The Strangers and a better movie)

For those who are up to serious gore I strongly recommend. Warning, these are some very disturbing movies but good, IMHO.

    5. Eden Lake
    6. Inside

i just made a post about some lesser known films, maybe not to you. But I'd say Intruder is a pretty good slasher, Demons, and Murder Party I had fun watching for the first time last night.

I second Night Of The Creeps.

I highly recommend Funhouse, I think it’s quite over looked. Also Asylum is a very good anthology film from Amicus.

I’m sure most have seen the “Classic” Universals like Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Wolf Man but what about The Raven, The Black Cat, The Mummy’s Tomb, Murders In The Rue Morgue?

I did not read the book, but the movie is extremely well done. IMHO this was definitely one of my 5 favorite horror flicks of 08. Now if you want to get a sense of how I view movies I will give you my top 5 of 08.

    1. Inside
    2. Let the right one In.
    3. Trick r Treat
    4. Eden Lake

Well 08 was not a very good year and I believe these three movies where the creme of the crop.

    5. Doomsday (technically not a horror, but close enough).
    5. The Strangers

    Just missed: Splinter, Cloverfield, Quarantine.
