ooooooooo.....I like the prison idea. If they do get in then you just lock yourself in a cell. They don't have super human strength so you should be safe in there. Provided that you have the keys to get yourself out once they starve to death trying to get in.

I'd say a tank. The zombies can't get in. You have some serious firepower. If you run out of ammo, you can just run them down. Also, I never knew that zombies could die from starvation. That's good to know.

Great idea Finn but....
What happens is the tank rusts shut before you can get out? I have heard Zombie attacks can last a loooooooog time.
And a lot of tanks are pretty small inside... how do you place enough provisions inside to survive?
And where would one even find a tank?
Do you think they sell them on ebay so we can stock up?

Those are all interesting points that you've brought up. I answer them one at a time.
1) Rust - This is a red, white and blue american tank you are talking about, not a former Soviet republic. Tank maintenence in these United States, is second to none. That tank will have enough grease on it to last until the second coming (which should be enough time).
2) Provisions - I don't need to stock up on provisions, I have a tank. I'll just come to your house, since I now know that you have plenty.
You wouldn't say no to a man with a tank, would you?
3) Where to find a tank - More than likely, the National Guard has been mobilized due to the zombie issue. The tank driver had the same doubts that you have raised and actually got out of his tank. Unfortunately, the zombies got him and now his tank is idling on the corner waiting for a new master."I Love The Dead" - Alice Cooper

But won't the zombies get you too when you come to my house to get provisions?

And you are right... I don't think I would say no to a man with a tank... but if you need provisions I would suggest going to another house.
First, PA to CA is kinda a long drive for food. And I live in a very populated area which will surely be zombie ridden.
Second, my husband and I order out a lot. We even know that if an emergency happens we are probably going to be the first to die of starvation. Unless one of us eats the other... but that is another storyDarkness has a hunger that's insatiable

Let me just say this, i used to work Mall security on the graveyard shift, and yes all we talked about was what to do if zombies attack. Basically were screwed. Mall security does not have guns, and if zombies wanted to get in it would be that hard. If you were unfoutunate enough to be at the mall when they attack best bed would be run into J C Penny's after grabbing all the food and water you could hall outa the food court and try and baricade yourself in, but thats still dicey at best. I'd vote for an awesom bomb shelter.

Alright, Halloween is over, now back to the zombies.
Most tanks have built in flame throwers. Before I get out of the tank, I'm going to light up the area with fire. That should kill all of the zombies and cook all of the food I was coming to get.
I didn't realize that you were in Ca. I guess you are safe from my tank...this time.
I'm starting to really get serious about telling all of my neighbors to stock up on food and water (while I stock up on bullets). Should work out pretty good in the end (for me at least

Finn... as long as it works out for you... that is all that matter

Plus we need someone to survive to carry on the human race.
Although you shouldn't be alone.... a lot of country boys will survive... at least according to Hank Williams Jr.Darkness has a hunger that's insatiable

We were watching night of the living dead last night, the original, and I think I came up with an awesome plan. Take all the supplies you can, go upstairs and then take out the first 5 or 6 steps. The zombies can't get up. They just fall in the hole. You have a way out, well at least we do...lol. There's been no zombie movie I've seen where they were able to scale the outside of a structure so you should be safe. I really don't see any holes in this plan.
