1) learn what the term zombie really applies to, a zombie is not a half naked girl covered in blood, some of which i have seen pictures of killing people with knives, no!
2) i still friggin hate twilight, watch a real vampire movie. Vampires do not "sparkle" in the sun, they die!
Ok now that i have that off my chest, i am sure i will get a lot of messges and responses from people calling me all types of names, but i don't care i hat ethese things ruining(not the term i want to use but keeping it clean) something i truly love!
Happy halloween!!!

I agree, the movie makers think that to startle someone is the same as to frighten them. I like a good scare that goes right into my spine. Being grossed out isn't the same either.
I like the old Halloween folklore, not the current "gore-lore" that is why you won't see any Jasons or Michael Myers in my yard. ~Shelley

haha! I love twilight but I have to agree with you about the sparkling thing! Just a little to wierd!
Can I add what bugs me....girls that throw a bruise on thier face or blood somewhere but thier costume is clean as can be! If your going to do it, then go all out! Of course I'm the girl that spends $40+ on a costume then rips it, rubs it in the grass, and splatters it with fake blood. (Thats what I did yesterday!)

I love the Twilight series and Robert Pattinson is easy on my eyes but I agree, the whole sparkling thing is goofy.
Interview with a Vampire was a good one to watch..great costumes!
Yeah, I had one of the college administrators ask me yesterday what exactly was a zombie and why are they so popular right now? She kept insisting that it was alllllll because of M. Jackson's Thriller and I tried telling her that it went back to before that. Ugh, people!
Send..more..paramedics

Thriller may have reignited the zombie popularity but zombies were around wayyy before his music video! I guess the administrator is not aware of the ancient voodoo zombie stories.
I have not read or seen the Twilight stuff but Vampires in the daytime is just wrong.
Zombies stabbing people is wrong, unless I guess it's a reanimated serial killer.......one has to keep with the old story lines.
But hey, half naked girls sell tickets and so does a madman gore movie chasing half naked girls, so until people demand good quality this is what they will continue to produce. You know, I've always wanted a child....ON TOAST!-Winifred, Hocus Pocus

Thanks for those comments, and I can respect it if you like the movie, but hate when people try to force me to like it. I can't believe that they thought zombies were just based on Michael Jackson, I guess we could thank all the douche bags who only know that michael jackson song for that lol. To Kissy, I am the guy who spends 40+ on a costume and does the exact same thing, and then looks at the other people and ask, what happened, get a late start? Since I generally start in uhhh JUNE lol

no no half naked blood covered girls in twilight. I agree that as a red blooded male I do enjoy a good slasher flick where half naked girls are chased and killed, but I also love the true horror movies. The days of Bela, Boris and Lon(Sr and Jr), and if you don't know who I am referring to, then i don't want to talk to you anyway lol

Sapphyremoon got it right...gore sells and sex sells more. As long as there is a market for it, they'll keep producing it. A darkly pseudo-erotic vampire movie may appeal to the purist but not the masses. Throw some buckets of blood around the set, add a few half or fully naked chicks (preferably with lesbian tendancies) and watch the big bucks roll in..
One could start a whole new discussion on how horror and eroticism are inextricably linked together.
Every year I have teenage girls turning up at my haunt claiming to be a "sexy" this that or the other and sporting a stripped down version of a costume..
Call me old fashioned if you like, but a "Sexy" Jason Voorhees just doesn't sit right with me, somehow....
Oh, and incidentally..Zombies are very much a creation of Hollywood. They are virtually unheard of (and certainly never mentioned aloud) in the true Voodu religion.
