Default 2009 Halloween Horror Movie Challenge Lists

So, it’s finally time for the Horror Movie Challenge.

The rules are simple. Just watch as many Horror and/or Halloween related films as possible between Oct. 1st and Oct. 31st and post your updated, numbered lists each day.

Use your own judgment as for what counts but I don’t think we will get to picky about that and if you really don’t know if something would count, just ask.

You get 6 “wild cards” that you can use towards your list, these are anything Halloween or Horror related that’s not a film. TV shows, Halloween specials, cartoon shorts, anything like that counts as long as it’s related. Just mark any “wild cards” with a * when you list them.

Feel free to discuss the films your watching or recommend films to others.

The person who watchs the most films, besides me should I watch the most, will win a spooky prize!!! Who knows what it might be!?!?!?!?!

And most of all have fun!

I will join in on this and even give you my first movie to boot, Plague Town.

I also think it would be a good idea to rate the movie in case someone else may be interested in watching it. Maybe even a little synopsis.

Sounds good to me.

Hopefully some more people will join in the fun but I'll do it as long as at least one other person in to it.

I'll give it a shot. I don't have a ton of time to watch movies anymore but maybe this will give me incentive to sit down and watch some from my favorite genre. I rented one from blockbuster called Haunting of Winchester House and it's in 3d. That will be my friday or saturday night movie. Plus I just got some from my queue on blockbuster.

Oct. 1

1. Mothman Prophecies 5.5/10
2. Haunted World Of El Superbeasto 7/10

The Mothman Prophecies is a film I enjoy though I fined it flawed. I don't like some of the cast or some of the direction but I do find it pretty creepy at times. I recommended watching it with all the lights off.

On the other hand The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto was a pretty fun ride and the best thing Mr. Zombie has ever done, I wish he would do more stuff like this. On a side note Mrs. Moon Zombie can't voice act either.

OCT 01
BEETLEJUICE: "...it's SHOWTIME..."
THE INVASION OF THE VAMPIRES Vampire action south of the border, down Mexico way. This is the one where the vampires rise from the grave with the stake going through their chests but coming out near their waists about a forearms length further down from where they should be...and some of the LOOPIEST dialogue K. Gordon Murray EVER stuck on a movie...
