IMHO this movie like many older horror flicks shows its age. I remember renting this at Erols back in the early 80's and it did its job as a horror flick, but watching this movie today, pure cheese.
On the other hand Phantasm II will finally be re-released on September 15th and I will be curious on seeing how this movie has held up over the past 20 years. I have not seen this movie since its original release in the late 80's and personally thought it was better than the original.

You guys have made me want to re-watch Phantasm again, it's been a while since I saw it, maybe I'll have a different opinion now. Perhaps I'll make it a double feature with the second film when I comes out on DVD.
You'll have money and all that money can buy.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes rocks..lol the acting is phenomenal. Killer Clowns! haven't seen that one for a while.
I'm a child of 80's horrors, My Mum used to let us watch horror movies when I was a kid. I remember her telling us to cover our eyes at the tree scene in Evil Dead... lol because it was ok to watch somebody being brutally murdered, but heavens above if a kissing scene or anything x rated came on ..She'd protect our innocence! anyway so much for horror movies making you into a crazy serial killer,well..ok I have a couple of bodies stashed in the cellar, but ones a traffic warden and the others a double glazing salesman. So I doubt they'll be missed
