Thread: Possible Classic Universal Horror Set In Time For Halloween.

I’m hearing rumblings of a possible Classic Universal Horror Set on DVD in time for Halloween this year. No titles as of yet but I hear it’ll be an “exclusive”, similar to the Best Buy one they did not long ago. The set with have 4 to 5 titles with two having never been release on the home video market at all.

I do know that Island Of Lost Souls will NOT be apart of the set as Universal says they a planning a stand alone release some where down the line. I guess could be good news but I would rather have just had it in the set and know I was going to get it. Who knows if this stand alone release will ever happen.

I’m glad that us classic Horror fans will be getting something but it seems so late to be announcing something like this. I hope they aren’t just setting us up for heartbreak when nothing happens.

I’m sure there are some Universal mystery titles they could through in a horror set but these seem like the likely ones.

I would really like to see a Paramount Horror set but I don’t think we will see that.

I’ll be happy to get anything but I could do with out the other two Jungle Woman films.

Looks like a 5 movie set and the possible release date is Sept. 5th.

We will see if this really happens.

Hey I guessed four out of five, not bad! :P

The set will be sold by TCM for 49.99! That's a bit too high for me, I'm sure there will be a price drop on this bad boy sooner or later. I’m really looking forward to this set but I’ll wait, I always try and get good deals on dvds since most of the time if you wait a little while you can get them for a quarter of the price down the road.

So, is anyone thinking about buying this? I know there a some on here that still dig the classic Universal horrors but are these too obscure for most?
