I really liked h1. There were two things that ruined h2 for me.
First, they made loomis a greedy, self absorbed a-hole. That made me sad.
Secondly, michael was no longer michael. There was no mystery, build up, or surprise with him. The michael we know and love is an enigma. He has this veil of mystery. They took away those things that make michael who he is and the reasons why we like him. And i agree briwesk. He was no longer the knife wielding, psycho. He was very brutal and animalistic. It just was not right. Also, the girl that plays laurie...i liked her in the h1. In h2...very annoying and hard to believe.

oh she was VERY annoying, haha. in the beginning of the movie, i felt for her, but after that, i could care less. One thing i dont like that RZ does is nudity for the hell of it. I mean i dont mind it at all, but i dont understand how after Laurie finds the biggest thing out in her life, she just goes to some halloween party with Nude Women on stage with the band. Its just out of place.

I thought the "inhuman" aspect of michael made him who he was. "Pure evil."
Yeah, the break down crying and screaming when she finds out and....BOOM. Let's party! Bipolar filming. It made no sense and threw me off the whole party scene. It irritates me when movies have boobs just to have boobs thrown in too.

I looked at it as her going and getting hammered up self pitty party. Not so much "shiney penny" which BTW was damn funny. But people act like that and I'm glad he didn't go some sugar coated way.
Human, inhuman. Nothing I saw could really be considered humane I guess. He had no mercy. Maybe Maybe being an onedge type of person myself helped me enjoy violent actions of MM.

Just got home from seeing this and I really liked it. But I really like Rob Zombie's movies, this felt much more like a RZ movie than the first one.
13 is my lucky number

Robert Zombie you have disappointed me. You shoulda cashed in your chips on Halloween 1, you failed on this one. I did like Mikey's stabbing technique I must admit. It fealt a lil creepy with the kids under 10 in the audience during the cheesy boob scenes, we have boobs Robby, we see them in our mirrors when we get dressed every morning, we dont really need them in a horror movie. During this economy I would expect something a lil better from you.
If it Bleeds, IT MUST BE CUT!

i think Rob Zombie's point WAS to humanize Michael Meyers...the point of the two remakes was to really dive into WHO Michael Meyers was. What makes a serial killer who he is....maybe it ruined MM for you, or maybe it made him more interesting.
whether you like that or not, i think it was intentional.
as for the boobs, thats very Rob Zombie style...unnecessary boobage. You should just expect that when going to a RZ movie.
SPOILER BELOW**
I loved that Danielle Harris was in this movie as she played Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 4....but I hated that she wasn't killed in a better more grotesque way. I thought she deserved a better scene since she was in the originals!
