I hadn't heard about this movie at all until last night when I saw a preview for it on SyFy.

Best Buy had it in the New Release section by me. They knew exactly what I was talking about.
I don't think there was anything too bad in the movie, but I hope all you that bought it at Walmart have the full version. Walmart likes to edit things. Surprised they're selling it to be honest. They won't sell CD's with swearing.

Just finished watching this.
There were things about it I liked...but overall I think all the anticipation, and all the great reviews really ruined my expectations for this. It felt like a made for TV children's horror movie to me.
Some of the imagery was pretty neat, all the lit pumpkins and stuff like that
The movie had A LOT of potential, but just didn't deliver like I was expecting.
2 1/2 stars - would be three except for the ending

How did this movie not get released in theaters? I just got done watching it and it was terrific, far better than most of the dreck I've seen. Well worth watching...several times!

Hubby bought it from the store. Watching it right now...

Anyone else notice that the sound quality isn't spectacular? We had to turn it ALL THE WAY UP to hear stuff...maybe it's just the intro?I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002

Commentary...
I loved this movie, but I am a Halloween nerd. I waited since frickin' March 2007 for this movie to come out!
Since I am also a movie nerd, I can see how this movie caused some trouble for the studio. It cost money to distribute a flick and you want the biggest return for your dollar. So, will they send the film to a theater that has a very narrow appeal when they can put in some crap that everyone will go see? (Think "yes man, etc...)
It was...incomplete. I felt like it was pretty short and left a lot of holes. It was a good transcription of a comic book, for sure, but it didn't translate that great into a mass-appeal movie. (beginning-middle-end)
However, I loved it and how it tied together like "4 Rooms" ... stories simultaneously occurring. Definitely something to watch again, with commentary this time...
