Default Jeepers Creepers 3

Looks like JC 3 is proceeding with series creator Victor Salva again writing and directing, Ray Wise starring as Jack Taggart Sr. and Johnathan Breck as the Creeper.

“Now that the strike is over, we can finally get rolling on the new JEEPERS CREEPERS,” Wise said. “Victor has written a big part for me in it.” At the Austin Fango convention, Jonathan Breck, the Creeper himself, mentioned, “My character will have to deal with Ray right at the beginning of the movie.”

Fango also talked to Salva:

“I have indeed signed to write and direct a third JEEPERS film this year,” he tells Fango. “It’s tentatively titled JEEPERS CREEPERS 3: THE CREEPER WALKS AMONG US. It includes a prologue in the Old West and might bring back several characters from the first two films 20 years later. The script and story will be big on scares and give us plenty more of the traditional Creeper creepiness, with a few more bits thrown in about what it might be and where it came from.”

There is also word that MGM is having Part 3 and a Part 4 filmed back to back, and that currently both are slated for direct-to-DVD. However, Salva is hoping at least one of them will be in the theaters sometimes in 2009.

WoooHOOoo!!! The first one was the first movie in a while that scared me. And the second one was amusing AND creepy. Plus......I love Ray Wise. I can't wait!

Here’s some news about the third Creeper flick, including the title: Jeepers Creepers III: Cathedral.

Salva spoke to Fangoria and said that “The script, now titled JEEPERS CREEPERS III: CATHEDRAL, is about to enter preproduction at MGM and does include a prologue in the Old West where we see how the Creeper became a frightening part of cowboy and Native American folklore."

He went on to say that the after this flashback, the third movie picks up right after the second one. He said that part of the third film features Trish Jenner “who, 23 years later, has a teenage son of her own, named Darry after her long lost brother. Trish is having a terrible recurring dream where her son meets the same terrible fate as her brother. Now a rich and powerful woman, Trish is determined to stop the Creeper once and for all.”

Among other thoughts about the script, Salva said that this movie will be “ . . . the biggest film of the three, include some of the scariest and most intense Creeper stuff we have ever attempted.”

Well, I liked the first one, but the sequel disappointed me. I'll cross my fingers.

I like these movies. With these, you can take many directions and diffren't story lines and still have the origins of the original charachter. It will probably be straight to dvd though.

I think I'll give this a watch when the time comes. I really enjoyed the first, like most of you here have said. The second one, however........to say I was disappointed is an understatement! I was horrified at how lame and pathetic it was!
