'Pet Sematary' for the 20th time. Far inferior to the book, but still good.
I just watched it on youtube like 3 hours ago, but it's been taken off since then hahaha, or else I'd put a link to it.

"Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" 35th Anniversary Exhumed Edition...with commentary. The transfer on this one is terrible, actually, and that's a sad thing. It's dark, and there are some scenes that are so dark, ya can't see anything at all. But the special features are worth the price, the commentary track and other stuff. This has been one of the more obscure 70's horror films for a while, so it's good to see new stuff, anyway.
This particular version was recalled late last year because of some problem with the video, they released a batch of discs and then quickly posted recall notices on the VCI website...so it's weird and ironic that this corrected version is a bit shabby."WHAT'S out there?"
"I don't know.......it was little and brown, and low to the ground!"

That's sad Tom because I was looking forward to this edition. I havent seen it in ages BUT I do want to add it to my collection. Maybe one day a definitive edition will rise from the tomb!

Don't know that is was a horror movie (although Netflix says it is) as much as a comedy, but, 'Sleepaway Camp'....all I can say is, those victims DESERVED to die and be put out of their acting miseries....and I want my 93 mins. refunded.

Lately I've been going backward in time to sate my horror thirst as there have been so many in the past that I've somehow missed (particularly the 60's). I'm pretty well versed in the 30's, 40's, 50's (Hammer Horror!) and the mid 70's onward but seem to have missed a decade.
Okay, enough of that. I recently watched and then rewatched Roman Polanski's Repulsion. This one could be a textbook case for how to do psychological horror.
Not a lot of blood and guts at all but Polanski knows how to build the discomfort. In this case with a straight razor. Literally.

Tonight we got some Chinese food and watched "Return of the Living Dead" (1984). Outstanding!

I had my friend over that hasn't seen much horror(I'm slowly introducing her to the genre), so I had her watch A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween(78).
She absolutely **** herself when *SPOILER* (oh who am I kidding, you've all seen it, right!?)
the body in the closet fell, and swung down in front of Laurie *END OF SPOILER*.
It was hilarious, she let out a huge gasp, and I literally felt her jump.
Fantastic to know it still has effect on people. That's how great it is
