Anyway, it is really one of the only recent horrors I have actually enjoyed. The majority just seem to be going downhill, and don't take effect on me anymore.

Unfortunately, they seldom make 'em like they used to. The current crop, with one or two exceptions, are little more than gore fests. They don't scare you so much as disgust you, wondering what goes on in the heads of the writers.

Zombie was pretty scary for me. I have not seen a lot of horror films so I am not used to seeing movies that creepy.

I'm sure we can point you in the right direction
There are bound to be threads like this somewhere, so if you have the time, (or if you get really bored!) try searching through them for 'newbie horror fan' recommendations

I'd look myself, but I'm not really up for it right now.

I just saw Hostel for the first time the other day. I thought Vacancy was scary!

"The Revenge of Frankenstein' - Not really a strong point for Hammer Horror in my opinion.

I thought "The Revenge of Frankenstein" was pretty good when I was a kid. But then kids like Barney & Friends too. I've seen it since, and I have to agree with you, freudstein.

haha, I agree!

I tend to recommend Brides of Dracula and The Vampire Lovers. (If you can handle the Sapphistry of TVL)

Hack on Zone Horror last night. Gad it was terrible. We ended up watching The Fog for the billionth time (love it!) over on Sci Fi instead.
