..so,..big fish don't "Do it" for you?
    Or did you forget JAWS?
My oldest son has a shark phobia because of this movie.
Lucky to be land-locked in Illinois!
Maybe that's partially why my highly decorated car is "The Corn-fed, Illinois Land Shark"?
It features a really big toothy mouth , intense eyes and moving arms...and other things...........

    in no particular order...

    Shadow of the Vampire
Ringu (part 2 was alright, part 3 (or 0) what an ending!)
    An American Werewolf in London
    Brotherhood of the Wolf
    Dog Soldiers
Ginger Snaps (the sequels were alright)
Blair Witch or Cannibal Holocaust (monsters can be human too)
    The Thing
Vampire Hunter D (and the very cool sequel)
    Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter
    Freaked

    I couldn't list just 10...

God, you guys are so young! Most everything listed has been in the last ten or twenty years. One of my favorites (I won't list ten) is the ORIGINAL "The Haunting " with Claire Bloom and Julie Harris. Stephen King proclaimed it as his #1 favorite horror movie of all times in one of his books. It is all implied scares and mind games--no overt gore and jumping monsters. It was made in 1963, and still creeps me out whevever I watch it!

This is by far the best version of the movie!!! Poor Julie Harris!!! She was FANTASTIC!!! I love this movie, also love the book!!!

Yes, The Haunting is absolutely THE BEST!!! I wached it just last night (for the 8,274th time). It still chills me to the bone when Eleanor says, "Whose hand was I holding?" I actually have the DVD and 2 (yes, two) VHS copies of this movie. I wouldn't be caught dead without it.

    J.T.,

I just bought "Carnival of Souls" on Sunday from KMart's cheapie Halloween bin for $3! I started to watch it, but only got 30 minutes into it when I had to go do something else. I really like what I've seen so far.

I got "Devil Bat", "Bride of the Monster", "White Zombie" and several others in a bargain bin last year. Really low-budget, but GOOD!

I'd like to re-buy "Nosferatu" on DVD. I have it on VHS, but want a new copy. Boy, THAT film was ahead of its time. What a CREEPY vampire!

Yup, those are all very good! You're right; I left out (accidently) all of the German Expressionist films including Nosferatu and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Also, if anyone like serials, my favorites are The Phantom Creeps and The Return of Chandu.

As you can tell, I'm a big Lugosi fan.
