I watched the premiere of Death Valley on MTV last night, and I liked it. It's essentially Reno 911 meets monsters, and they did a pretty good job with it. I was pleased to see they found a way to settle the long-unsettled Fast Zombie/Slow Zombie dispute by saying the longer a zombie is reanimated, the slower it gets.I also really liked the werewolf traffic stop scene!

I liked everything except the captain of the police force....he seemed to have too many scenes that bored me!

I read a review on tv.com, seems they hated it. I'll judge for myself though.

He's probably getting the most scenes because he's the only actor on the show that most people recognize, if even vaguely. I would expect the gals to take that show over before long. I did like the scene where the captain is talking to the cop about how the new girl still has to prove herself, while she's busy beating the crap out of a zombie in the background.

I think you mean the longer a person has been dead the slower they are. Unless they made it different in the show idr.
But anyway I thought it was pretty common knowledge that fast zombies are the ones that haven't had rigormortis set in yet and the slow ones are the ones with rigormortis. Well at least thats what I always believed.
Anyway I liked the show. It wasn't the greatest but it was good. I'll be watching next week
(It would have been funny if the character of Carla was actually the reanimated zombie of Alex Rousseau XD)

This is MTV, not CSI.
Also, rigor is a transitory condition that is gone within 2-3 days of death.
