Its like "The Craft" but a TV show. I love Vampire Diaries, but I prob. won't watch this one...unless it gets picked up for a 2nd season. I'm sick of getting into shows and then they are gone

I watched it. I've been watching Vampire Diaries and had seen the CW previews for SC. Hadn't decided if I wanted to watch yet another new show, and totally understand falling for shows that then get cancelled, but since it was on right after VD I tuned in. My last disappointment and viewing casualty that both my DH and I watched every week was "V".

I actually liked it quite a bit. The story moved along pretty well and I liked the cast. Don't know if any of the actors are well-known or not, but I didn't recognized them so they were fresh faces who seemed like they could act. I like that they have two (or i guess it's actually 3) generations of charaters interacting together and think it will appeal to a wider range of viewers.

The scenery supposedly set in Washington State if I recall correctly, reminds me of either Twin Peaks or some of the early X-Files settings--damp, gloomy, woodsy. I like the special effects shots in the beginning when the home goes up in flames and near the end when the storm gets conjered up. The scene in the forest with the water drops was also very nicely done. So far intrigued enough to tune in next week.

BTW the pilot repeats tonight at 9pm. Posted about it under the TV thread in the General Forum.
