Not sure about the new scream movie. Loved the first couple but I was a lot younger then. Could be good to relive the memories though, might check it out.

Defiantly going to see this, the cast looks great. Scream was probably the first horror movie i ever saw and it scared the crap out of me, i'm not so sure it would now though.
    Thanks

I've loved the trilogy. Especially the first.(whilst I do love 70's and 80's horror mainly, this is amongst my all time favourites) Now it's no longer a trilogy, new rules apply. I'm really looking forward to this! I just hope it hasn't been 'totally' teened up like too many horrors have lately!
I'm excited that it's still a Wes Craven/Kevin Williamson project; I'm hoping it'll still have what we want!

The trailer really got my attention, so it's looking quite promising, at least

No offense, but count me out. I can't believe that Craven now wants to do 6 of them

I'll probably pass, unless the reviews are just really really positive. The threequel was a little disappointing to me, so I doubt I'll see this one.
No shock that Gemmy's new license figure will be Ghostface! But with regards to the movie, I'll wait and see it on DVD in mid -Sept.

So I ended up seeing it opening night and personally I did enjoy it. It definitely wasn't better than the original but it was much better than 3. The only two problems I have with the movie is at times it seemed as if it were trying to be a little too 'Scary Movie' ish. The other issue I had was I wish they didn't re-do the opening sequence. From what I read the the original opening they had shot sounded better to me personally, but the good thing is I believe I saw somewhere Craven is putting the scene as a deleted scene on the dvd.
