I thought that it was better than last year for sure with better movies but on haloween day i didnt like how they showed Halloweens 1-5 really early in the day and at night didn't have good movie picks. but that's just me.

I thought their line up was great and they had 2 full weeks, Maybe I'm wrong but in the past I thought it was only one week. Now if I could just catch their new series The Walking Dead I would be happy.

Re;AMC...I think im the only dude in the world without cable. Just dont spend enought time watching anymore to justify cost. I do like Netflix, lots of Horror, and seems to work best for me.
I dont know why Im posting this..haaha, ramblings.

THE WALKING DEAD has started out great. I get the feeling I'm watching several other movies at times, like the way the main character wakes up in the hospital (much like 28 days later or Day of the Triffids). The father and son holding up in the house, watching "mom" outside is a lot like Omega Man. The small band of the living is pretty much every Undead movie.
Even with these similarities, I really liked the premiere and am very excited for tonight's episode. So far, I like the characters and I really like the zombies. Very well done.

I enjoyed AMC's lineup this year, and think that The Walking Dead is shaping up to be a good series. I also noticed some of the similarities to some zombie films of years past, but chalk it up to the fact that society is becoming less religious(making the "once hell is full..." idea harder to make convincing) and more aware of threats to our health(swine flu, bird flu, bio-terrorism) which leads to an easier buy-in on the audience's part.

I have always had a bad time with spook flicks & dreams, so at a very early age (20's) I gave them up. Never watched to many. Well for some reason I not afraid anymore so I watched all these movies I have never seen before. It was a new beginning to meet Jason & Michael. I played that channel night & day and had a hell of a good time!! Now Zombies is another thing, but I am watching the Walking Dead!!

Good for you, Muffy!!
I had a similar experience. Saw Nightmare on Elm Street when I was way too young (at a sleep over) and thought, "well, that's all I need to see!"
Now that I'm older, I'm rediscovering horror and I love it! I still need to catch up on some of the classics, like Friday the 13th, but the Halloween series was a blast.

It was good. 9 F13th's and 5 Halloween's were a good addition. I DVR'd em' all.

I loved it this year. 2 full weeks as opposed to the standard week theyve had in the last couple years. I thought it was a decent selection of movies too. TCM was disappointing though.
