Night Stalkers

Only once a year there’s an evening awaiting
To allow the most unthinkable chiller

For at this time a most eerie presence
Will stalk and intrude like a killer

It will rip, and will tear, and will prey just the helpless
And feed on their flesh, god forbid!

Its ultimate kill that makes its mouth water
A true delicacy it thrives for a kid

For their blood is much sweeter, their flesh all so tender
And their bones, a delectable crunch!

And their firm little bodies that scream with a spurt
Make them such a popular munch

Stay close to the others when leaving your home
Do not wander to far off the path

For just after dark the stalkers embark
seeking those to afflict with their wrath
