I once had to write a dialogue between two characters in French class. I made it between Dracula and Van Helsing. The general idea was that Dracula was having a barbecue that weekend and was inviting Van Helsing. Well, of course Van Helsing accepted the invitation and said he'd even bring the 'stakes'. Har har!

Unfortunately the word I used for 'stakes' also meant 'pious'. I had to look it up and I knew no one taking the class would recognize it, but the teacher would. She didn't laugh. She told me later she couldn't understand why Van Helsing would bring 'the pious' to a BBQ. I suppose I can't understand why he would either. Oh well, lost in translation I guess
