I had a buddy keep an eye out for a severed hed at the halloween shop. Since I couldn't get there he bought it for me and I paid him back. Anyway, like most of these store bought heads, it had minimal stuffing inside so I bought some batting from the "wally world" to beef it out. I seperated it where the neck and head come together and stuffed it full but now I can't get the two parts back together.
I have tryed hot glue, and some super glue (plastic modeling type) and so far nothing works. The foam rubber seems to feel a little oily? Its a realy great looking prop and I would hate to sew it. My stitching is not up to par and I would hate to have thread loops on the neck since I'm going to make an awesome mad scientist lab prop out of it.
Help! I need my head fixed!

I had a devil prop made of similar material with a tear in it, and I used contact cement to repair it. Has held nicely for 3 weeks now. My repair was only a 3-inch tear so it was easy to compress the repair area together. Not sure how you would accomplish that for an entire neck circumference, maybe just do a small area at a time? Good luck.
Doh! Looks like TK421 beat me to the punch.

Gorilla glue should work.... follow the directions on the bottle and put a clip or two on the section to hold it together while it sets.

I always swear by Goop glue but it's not compatible with styrofoam so I don't know if that would include foam rubber as a "no".

If the rubber cement doesn't work, you could try sewing it back up with a curved upholstery needle and some clear fishing line.

There are other holidays besides Halloween? When did they start that?

Off topic, but I gotta say that I have fixed more stuff with that ole curved upholstery needle - that's one of those tools every haunter needs in his/her toolbox, ...try sewing it back up with a curved upholstery needle...
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be...
