The Halloween curse is alive and well. High winds have annihilated my Haunt two years in a row. My fence is down and all of my tombstones had to be scooped up before they were scattered like dust.

It’s going to take me a dozen of hours to re-set everything back up and I have to work on devil’s night ….UGH!

Please don’t let it rain on Halloween…..

Eventually everyone takes a turn in the box. The trick is to make the other guy take his turn first.

Sorry to hear about the cemetery. Hope the rest of the week cooperates with you.

I feel bad for all of you that have suffered lost props, hours, and money to the wind. I encourage you all to remember that the spirit of home haunting is to surprise the TOTs and give them something extra to be excited about on Halloween night!

I hope you will not lose faith, and keep the spirit of the holiday alive. Rebuild, ReBuIlD, REBUILD! Do what you can to make this year special for the TOTs, and don't let the wind get you down!

The weather looks bright for the weekend. That's the good news.

The bad news is the high winds that came on Tuesday are nothing compared to today's high winds.

Hats off to Dave Llewellyn from Raven Manor for a superior Mausoleum design. I'm keeping my fingers crossed; my mausoleum is weathering the storm and holding its own.

UGH!!!!! I spoke to soon. A huge wind gust came thru and knocked out two panels of my cedar fence in my backyard.

The same gust claimed both of my gate columns, despite having 50 lbs loaded in their bases. I’m totally stunned. We scrabbled and pulled everything into the garage. The columns are heavily damaged but on a good note; the damage is not as bad as last year’s Devil’s night storm.

With a lot of painting and mudding, I should have them back in service by Sunday if I take tomorrow off.

Good luck with the weather everyone and keep your fingers crossed. That crack head weather man is now saying rain for Sunday.

I lost a few tombstones over the last couple days, A couple split in half, a couple blew free from their bases and will go back up, and the first one I ever carved myself is just gone, The stake is there but nothign else.

What surprised me was that the wind snapped the hardwood stakes holding up my cornstalks at their base. Just snapped them clean. I picked them all up and put them in the garage overnight

I put most back up, but todays win did it again.

So tonight I had to shut the lights off since it looked so bad.
