Pics of my carnival clowns I am using for this year's theme. These are from year's old skulls, cats, a martian, and a ghost trick or treat buckets collected throughout years, several threads here had me think outside the coffin box. Painted a couple of them hot-glued some left over plastic easter eggs for the noses and recycled glow in the dark cobwebs for the hair. I mounted them on crutches, cardboard for the arms/shoulders and put some old clothes, will upload pics tomorrow. Enjoy.

Thanks, Beggars Alley. I was stumped. In the 20+ years of doing my house haunts I have never ever done a carnival. I done the classics from graveyards, laboratory, haunted house, cornfield, pirate theme, even did a spooky bar last year. I do them but sadly, never get any pics, this year a new tradition thanks to this site. I am amazed how many people love this holiday like I do.

I plan on doing a carnival for next year and sold most of my bigger cemetery props this season. I can't seem to stop planning for next year and this year's holiday isn't even over. I feel like I have skimped on the yard by selling off most of my props but hope that my re-theme for next year will be worth my "emotional" loss this year.
Actually I made close to $1000.00 for the props so I guess it might not be all that big of loss.
And I still have quite a bit left.

That is some nice work.
I think you should spray some of the hair to get some different colors.

I went around looking for some paint for the hair but had some problems with spray paint as well. Good suggestion, Screaming Demons need to go out maybe get some clown wigs.

Another successful year, despite the bothersome wind that would not let up on my props. I uploaded a couple of shots my wife could take yesterday, as she was running back and forth. Lots of trick or treaters, lots of cryers, & runners.
Interesting tid-bites:
(1.) Two seperate occasions out of fright, smaller kids threw candy at me, thanks needed the energy boosts. My brother told me he had the same thing happen to him as well.
(2.) One of my new haunters commented he felt bad cause he made a couple of kids cry. My reply to him was - Yeah, don't worry, you get over it, welcome aboard.
(3.) Smaller haunter, my nephew (5 years old) really got a kick scaring people, I think I have created my succesor (buaaaahaaaahaaa).
My head is swirling on what to come up for next year, now.

Really cool setup. Looks like you had a lot of people go through. The word must have got around about you quick.
Where are you at? Just noticed your name and I'm in the desert myself.

It's cool, we get alot of people each year. We sort of got the reputation of being the crazies who do some sort of haunted house each year, the times we got complains are when we don't do a haunted walkthrough or if its too short. Im from Arizona, Screaming Demons, which is nice as it gets cooler around 8 or 9 p.m but by then we are back inside the house munching away on snacks telling our stories, how cool it was to make some people cry or run.
