This is the year I finally decided to go all out and make a real haunted attraction. I had always had a house front display of some kind and when I was young we had haunted walkthrough’s but after looking at this site and being inspired by the best I thought “NOW IS THE TIME”.
Because I live in Canada there is always the treat of bad weather or even snow on Halloween so the attraction had to be indoors and the only place available was my double car garage. The only problem was were to put all the junk. So the first step was to build a Mezzanine to store everything.

After that I invested about $300 in lumber to make mdf or masonite panels. The good things about these were they would lay flat for storage so I could use them every year.
I planed out 4 rooms, A parlour (entrance and exit), A library, a dungeon and graveyard.
The plan was to have a guided walkthrough of about 6 people a time. Each room would be part of a story that would wind up in the graveyard. It was to take about 4 to 10 mins to go through it all.

I Posted FREE haunted House Friday Sat and Sunday 6:00 till 8:00 . I am Thinking I should just hire someone to give out candy and pull the covers over my head and rest. BUT THAT AINT GONNA HAPPEN 2:00 am Friday and Im still workin on the thing... darm those meddling kids.

Good luck to you. You can do, it'll all be worth it. I'm in the same boat. I'm at work right now thinking of what I have to finish! Lookin good so far, can't wait to see more!

I finished the Manor and the kids just loved it. It was Kid Friendly and the only glitch was that I forgot to charge the MP3 players and I had to switch to CD half wat through, Also the flouresent light starters for my flickering lamps reeked havok with the animatronics so I had to unhook them. But boy oh boy it was fun. I will post the video when I have time to edit it, untill then I just have some pictures.
