My dad works at our local Technical College teaching x-ray. I asked him if they ever get rid of any of their old skeletons they use to teach with to get it for me. Well, he said he had an old one that I could borrow. A real one.It was donated to the school a few years ago by an orthopedic surgeon that was retiring. It is a little beat up so they prefer to use the fake skeletons to teach from. My dad said it has been sitting in his classroom closet and only used once since being donated. I'm only borrowing it for now. Pictures will follow when I pick it up. I still haven't seen it myself.

Cool, My friends Dad is a surgeon and we had a real skeleton for his Halloween/ Birthday party back in the late 80's. We had him in a coffin dressed as the grim reaper. Lots of people were freaked out when the found out we had a dead guest.

I recall in grad school, we were told not to take the brains home to study because it was illegal to possess human remains. You should definitely check this. Also I am surprised you could get a skeleton on loan, given they are rather expensive.
Still... cool. plastinated

I had the same thought too but after some searching I found it is perfectly legal to own.
