I am hoping someone will be able to help me with this, I am trying to hook up a push button manual trigger to a 110 v Solenoid for prop control. If someone could help with me this I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you.

How many wires do you have on the push button trigger and does it have a male plug on the end so you can plug it into a outlet?

    Any pictures?

If you just want to trigger the solenoid you can connect directly to AC from the wall and use a simple toggle switch or pushbutton switch. Like this: (apologies for the pathetic artwork)

Ladyhaunt, go here http://www.frightideas.com/downloads...04s_Manual.pdf and open this .pdf manual for the pico-boo controllers. I know it's probably not what you have for a prop controller (if indeed you have one) but it esplains a lot about wiring for props. If you are talking about a simple pneumatic solenoid then you should have two simple terminals on the unit. Simply connect the two wires from your manual (i assume pushbutton) controller across those two terminals and.......VOILA! it should work. If not, i/m me and i'll help if i can.......'Scruff

two additional thoughts... #1) heat shrink tubing and #2) fuse.

Especially when working with 120AC, it's nice to keep from getting zapped or catching things on fire if anything happens to short circuit. I think a 3 Amp fast blow fuse would be plenty, if you decided to add one.

The manual trigger has two wires, so you can hook it up to a picaboo, but I would rather not use a picaboo on this prop. I have attached a picture.

    Thank you for your help.
