Thread: Anyone own the Bloody Pumpkin Fountain?

Does anyone own the Pumpkin fountain? I picked one up on craigslist but it had no instructions. I can tell how high to fill the water. what's concerning me is the light bulb that is attached to the pump.
Firstly, I was worred because it doesn't look like it attaches anywhere. Is the right? Is it supposed to just sit against the inside of the pumpkin? I plugged it in yesterday (with no water). It was only plugged in for about 30 seconds and it burnt my finger to the point of a blister. Is thsi normal? I'd love to hear from someone who has the fountain.

I have the it. The light just sort of sits inside above the blod line. Fill the unit about an inch or a bit more. The darker the blood, the better. When I bought mine it came with a powdered die. DO NOT USE THE THICK BLOOD IN THE BOTTLE. IT DOES NOT PUMP WELL. I use food coloring. It can splash a bit, so take precautions to avoid stains.

We use this as a center piece in our dining room. We black out the entire room with black walls and ceiling. It looks great with the right scene.

Thx so much for responding. I will try it out tonight and hopefully won't get electrocuted or burn the house down ;-)It's an awesome looking piece. I plan to use red kool aid as blood.
