So my husband clear coated our faded plastic pumpkin jackolanterns (you know the ones the kids use for trick or treat pumpkins), slit the back side all the way down and cut a size appropriate hole in the bottom, then he put them around our driveway lights. They look so cute! Will post pics soon.

LOVE YOUR IDEA!! We do this -- in a way. What we do is to put all the blow mold Jack-O=lanterns along the driveway and fill with sand/stones/leftover aquarium stone. THEN put in a real candle (tea lite) or electric tea light inside. It lasts the night, lights the way to our backyard path and they seem to withstand the wind. If it rains though - they could fill with water, so we may drill a few drain holes in the bottom, if we have time and the weather seems to demand it.
