I'm just gonna cut to the chase. . .
I bought a 1000 watt fog machine from a store called factory card & party outlet (they may be connected with party city, don't know). Its my first fogger and I'm sooo excited to have one for my graveyard this year.
Anyways, doing a "dry run" of some of the stuff today and when I read the instructions about the fog machine it states that it is for indoor use only, prevent the machine from the moisture and rain and then repeats a few more times that it is for indoor use only. The box it came in says nothing on the outside about it being an indoor only product.
I am asking the haunters out there, can I still use this for my yard graveyard or do I need to return it and find an outdoor fog machine. As I said this is my first fog machine and I'm still learning. Please help!!!!
I know this is super short notice but if I have to return this tomorrow to receive my refund I need to know. I'm sorry to rush and ask you all on the spot like this, but I don't know who else to ask.
Its made by Seasonal Visions International
Item # 5724002
Model # FM-1000
I have included pics of the box and fog liquid if they might help.
Thanks so much!!!!!

I believe all the fog machines for sale in the local stores have the "INDOOR USE ONLY" warning on them. The main thing is to protect it from rain, snow, yard sprinklers and such. My fog machine says to keep it under cover and out of the weather. The warning is there to prevent people from trying to use it in the rain due to risk of electrical shock. I don't know of any fog machines rated for outdoor use that would likely be inexpensive. If you set it up carefully and don't get it wet, you should be fine.

Most fog machines have ventilation slots on them, and the internal wiring connects can come into contact with water fairly easily if you are not careful. The key is to keep it dry.

Agree with the others -keep it out of the rain/ water, and you should be ok. Mine is going to be outside. This is my first year with one too.
If you are putting it outside, do you want a ground fog effect? I just got my setup fine tuned the way I want it for this year using a cooler and some landscape drainage pipe. Video here:

If you don't use a cooler, the fog will rise.

Sorry about the double-post. I got a failure message on the first one, but looks like both went thru....

Agreed, keep it high and dry. If you are worried, place it on a couple of patio bricks or something non-flammable (they generate heat). If it starts to rain, get it in quickly. I have been using mine for years now exclusively outside while being cautious and conscientious and no problems yet!

I've used my fog machine outside for years, just make sure it's in a dry, flat area and you should be fine.
They live. They die. They return. Zombies.

Simple answer:
Get a plastic tub, cut an opening in it for an outlet pipe. Cut small notches at the bottom for ventilation, then put it over the fogger so the outlet pipe is 1" away from the fogger's outlet. Put down two patio stones to place the fogger on, so it is off ground level. If it rains, it'll drain down the sides. If it pools up, the patio stones keep the fogger out of the puddle. The venting notches keep air circulating inside there so the unit doesn't melt the tub from ambient heat.
