I am building a graveyard this Halloween and have an open spot I need to fill with something big. I was thinking of setting up a gallows with a corpsed Bucky hanging from the noose but I am torn on if a gallows even belongs in a cemetary scene....

    Ok call me a purist.

So you guys are the masters, whats everyones opinion....does a gallows belong??

A crypt would be better IMO unless you're doing a boot hill type cemetary

Thanks for the vote. I actually agree with you......

The spot isnt big enough for a crypt unfortunately. What about a corpsed Bucky on a pike? I need something that will be high up in the air.

    How about an obelisk?

You could make it a memorial to a group or an individual. Perhaps enclose it
    with a small fence?

how about a wandering skelleton, picture was after storm so bucky is not holding his lantern any more, but I'm sure you get the idea.
I'm not big on hangings after one of our friends sons hung himself. Though the one Scary Firhttp://www.halloweenforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=14399&stc=1&d=12879819 59efighter has is not gory.

It is not a sprint, nor a marathon, just a slow meandering down the path to the grave yard.

My vote is for the Gallows too......I "Borrowed" the idea from Scary Firefighter and built one for my display this year:

The ships' doctor warned me that I've been partaking in too much wine, women and song and told me that I should cut back a bit.........I am really going to miss the singing.....

Its funny but I have become this Theme guy lately. I love the gallows (and think its way spooky) just not sure its graveyard enough. I may post some pics of my setup so far to give a better view of what my front looks like to help you guys visualize.

I think I may try to build a obelisk, or maybe a large cross tombstone and have a bucky standing behind it....kind of crawling over the top.
