Thread: NOT impressed with Spencer's fog machine

After reading a couple comments on this forum I went to get the 700w fog machine from Spencer's gift. Well I poured some of my fluid in and let it warm up. Not too much fog coming out. My only thought is that the fluid I used (Fun-lite brand) is a couple years old. Does it go bad. or is it just not good fluid. Where to get the good fluid and what brand if it is the fluid. Ant input?

Froggys is the brand I always see recommended. Have not tried it yet myself. I don't know if it goes bad over time.

I have not seen a Spencer's machine either, but when I compared the $70 Halloween City machine against the $127 Chavet 1300, there was no comparison. I understand American DJ is an even better brand. You might want to ebay or Craigslist a better brand machine if you are not happy.

Check your fluid to see if it's gone moldy. I always forget to do this and wind up clogging foggers with it. Fog fluid has no shelf life, apparently. Use it all as soon as you can. Make a smoking chimney prop for Christmas, maybe. I have some sealed bottles I bought last year and I'm interested to see if they'll be good or not.
